Environmental management – What we mean by it
The conservation of natural resources, protection of the environment and maintenance of the quality of life for our own and future generations play a very big part in everything we do.

Energy management and sustainability – What we mean by it
At BWPARTS GmbH, the efficient use of energy and the reduction of energy consumption are important components of our corporate policy.

We are well aware of the fact that the energy balance is affected by internal and exterThenal processes.

The BWPARTS GmbH sees it as its responsibility and duty to reduce its consumption of the resource known as “energy” to a minimum, within the limits of what is commercially and technically feasible and with the aid of well-conceived processes and workflows. This responsible management and use of energy is based on systematic measurement and evaluation of the important energy aspects at the company. This is then used to derive energy targets and energy programmes and to monitor and verify these on the basis of measurable characteristics.

Out of a joint responsibility toward mankind and the environment, we have made it our goal to set up an efficient and cost-effective production system that constantly strives to improve energy performance on the one hand and the efficient consumption of energy on the other. We always implement this taking into account the technically and organisationally feasible possibilities.

For BWPARTS GmbH, it’s a matter of course that we comply with the legal and official regulations, with other energy-related interests and our own requirements regarding energy consumption and, if possible, exceed them.

Continuous improvement in energy performance is a key factor for BWPARTS GmbH when it comes to achieving profitable production and a basic prerequisite for the efficient use of energy and the reduction of energy consumption.

The framework needed to achieve this comprises a functional energy management system and state-of-the-art machinery, systems and technologies.

What’s more, each and every member of staff at BWPARTS GmbH is actively involved in the energy management system. Events, information sessions and training courses encourage all of our employees to be more energy-aware, both at work and in their own life.

The company has declared the integration of long-term economic, environmental and social aspects into our corporate strategy, while maintaining full competitiveness, to be a key responsibility of the company management.

Green electricity: The use of green electricity from 100% hydropower with certified proof of origin in our plants represents a contribution to sustainability. With this measure we contribute to the reduction of your CO2 balance.

Environmental/energy team: We have set up an environmental and energy team in our company to deal with sustainability issues and monitor target achievement. Together with management and the specialist departments, they set new targets and further develop our sustainability program.

Use of waste heat from production: In our plant in Gersthofen, we do not require any energy sources for temperature control during the cold season, but use waste heat from production to heat the premises; this makes an enormous contribution to reducing CO2 consumption.
